Jerk trying to cause a crash/death
Friday, July 09, 2010
A male driving a tan Dodge pickup IL plate 27 736V was seriously trying to cause me to crash and either kill others or myself. He was wrecklessly driving on the Bishop Ford as I was behind someone. He was swerving his vehicle back and forth. As he sped up to pass us I gave him the finger just to show him he was stupid. He sped away only to pull over to the side of the highway going into Indiana to get behind me, pull up to the side of me and honk his horn as he jerked his truck back and forth!!!! I hope he is stuck in plenty of traffic because eastbound on I80 was packed! You jerk!!!!!

Good job almost slamming into the back of my car while you text on your phone. Tell your girlfriend to bring her compact instead of using the rearview mirror to put on makeup. Maybe if you both stayed at home for 10 minutes longer you could pay attention to driving. And then yell at me because of your mistake. Hopefully we meet again.

18-wheeler road rage
Monday, May 17, 2010
Was driving up I-57 late last night and was approaching a construction zone. Passed an 18-wheeler about a mile before the road switched to a single lane. This apparently pissed off the driver, who swerved into the left lane, accelerated rapidly, pulled up next to me, and almost forced me off the road as the left lane ended and he merged right (into the lane I was in). I had to speed up quickly to avoid eating orange barrel. The 18-wheeler also sped up and rode about an inch from the rear of my truck through the construction zone. Unfortunately I couldn't get a plate number on this guy, and I wasn't very inclined to get anywhere near him again after the construction zone. Anyone who thinks its okay to use an 18-wheeler as a weapon on the road doesn't need to be in the trucking business!

interstae 90
Sunday, May 16, 2010
There's no use singling out any one idiot on interstate 90 between 294 and Randall road going in either direction. The idiots in the trucks cant't read the signs about trucks using the two right lanes and the other lame brains going 60mph in the left lane don't understand what "Slower traffic keep right" means.

Self-Entitled Much?
Wednesday, November 18, 2009
DATE: Friday, Nov. 13. TIME: Evening rush hour. LOCATION: East of Milwaukee Avenue on Sanders Road, Northbrook, IL OFFENDER: Female driving a medium-red Honda Civic, license plate # 816 9081.
It's a construction zone there, with two lanes merging into one, and traffic was backed up. Drivers were moving slowly and cautiously because of the construction barricades. Although the light had turned green, there were at least ten cars ahead of me, and I knew that only a few drivers would get through that light.
A fellow in a parking lot adjoining Sanders Road had been waiting for some time for someone to give him a break. I gave him one. After he turned onto Sanders, the maniac in the red Honda Civic suddenly plowed around me to my left, at breakneck speed, and intentionally swerved dangerously close to my car as she flew in front of me, only to slam on her brakes and have to wait at the light anyway. Successful way to make a point.
Lady, you have no business operating a motorized vehicle with that kind of wreckless attitude. You're lucky that I wasn't the type of person to get out of my car and confront you with the same violent temper with which you reacted when I gave another driver a break.

Cell Phone Menace
Wednesday, August 12, 2009
I always wanted to write a song about those jerks on cell phones who think they are so much more important than you, whoever you are. Try the driver of License Plate X61 9421 in Chicago at Keeler and the Kennedy X-way at 7:44 a.m. this morning. While he was gabbing away (probably about the latest movie star's boob job) in his clean white car, he didn't notice that there was plenty of space behind him to back up. I was squeezed between his car and passing cars on Keeler, and could have gotten killed, badly scraped up, or bruised. As it was, I escaped with my life and skin. I looked pointedly at him, then at his license plate. Then again at him. Then made a show of writing down his plate number. BUSTED. You were on a hand held CELL PHONE, and that's against the law. Jerk.

The drive of this white SUV was accompanied by a female passenger and possible child in the back seat. At a four-way stop, this drive not only saw me crossing the street, but there was another lady walking in front of me. After the other lady cleared the road, he paused and "jumped" his vehicle while I was two feet in front his car. This occured at 6:25pm at the corner of Damen and Wabansia in Chicago, IL. This particular neighborhood has super busy foot traffic especially during the evening hours. Obviously the driver chose to risk the life (lives) of his passenger(s) and tried to intimidate pedestrian. It's partly hilarious because just few weeks ago, Chicago police went undercover to catch ones who didn't stop at pedestrian cross (not even a stop sign). I wander if he can piss off an undercover police with his action. Nontheless, this is a dangerous driver using the size of his SUV to intimidate people. WATCH OUT

A50 3000 - Beware of this driver!
Monday, May 25, 2009
Earlier today, I was driving behind a mini-van on Thorndale, traveling westbound toward Clark St. The street is residential, with speed bumps and stop signs. I'm not going crazy fast, but I wasn't going too slow either. I did have a mini-van in front of me, so I couldn't go faster if I wanted. Then a Black SUV starts tailgating me.
I stopped at a stop sign, because well, it's a stop sign, and the black SUV behind me started beeping. I couldn't immediately go because a pedestrian was in the crosswalk, so I assumed he didn't see the pedestrian and thought I was taking too much time. We get to Clark Street (of course black SUV is tailgating), I stop, let the four cars that were traveling north-bound on Clark pass me and make a right hand turn (the only turn you can do) onto Clark. Another beep. I get in the left hand turn lane to make a left onto Peterson, wait for the three cars going south on Clark to pass the intersection and begin my left turn. Black SUV, who is also making a left hand turn, guns it and tries to get ahead of me in the left hand turn (mind you, this is a one lane turn...). I almost hit him, I beep and when we are on Peterson, we are both stopped at the stop light. Idiot. Getting me killed to be stopped at the same stop light one car ahead of where he would be.
After a second or two of getting my bearings, I gave him the thumbs up and started laughing and applauding his "brilliant" move. He appears to shout and gesturing wildly while looking in his rearview mirror and of course, I continue to laugh at him. He opened his door, but the female in the car (who I can only guess is his wife/mistress he beats up every night) appeared to reach over and prevent him to coming to my car. That's right, he was going to yell at me (or worse) when he cut me off and almost caused an accident.
It was a Black SUV with license plate Illinois A50 3000, sticker expiring 1/10.

Asian mail driver deliberately drove through mass of pedestrians in crosswalk in downtown Chicago. When confronted afterward he laughed, "Ha ha -- can't do nothing about it" and sped off.

Illinois plate FRALE 7 drives like a complete moron! He obviously received his license in the license scandal from a few years back. He drives a black Jeep and apparently needs lessons on staying in his own lane. We called the police due to his constant swerving thinking he was under the influence. I hope the catch him and incarcerate him!

Thanks!

Thanks so much for messing up my car while I slept soundly in my bed last night. I have ONE car. I will only have ONE car for a very long time. If something happens to my car, my entire life will get put on hold along with the lives of my children and my husband.
Luckily, all you did was sideswipe my car, break off my driver's side mirror and then took off like some thug in the night. The only problem with that is that in Chicago, the police will no longer look up a license plate number so that we can file a hit and run report. If we want to report this, we have to go through OUR insurance so your fuck up would end up costing US money. With an unemployed husband and my inability to work outside the home, that would really make things difficult for us.
So, thanks driver of a burgundy Dodge Caravan that was driving south down Rockwell toward Montrose last night right by Kindred Hospital. And thanks to the people who were standing outside and saw you hit my car. They gave me a partial plate number. It is A49 and then either the numbers 834 or 843. I just want you to know that the internet is a powerful and useful tool. And for around $30, I can find out who you are. It will be money well spent. I may have to cut back on groceries for a couple of weeks, but it will be money well spent.

Pontiac Excitement?
Thursday, February 19, 2009
I thought i was going to witness a headon!
Red Pontiac Torrent with Illinois plate X47 5340 pulls out to pass a very slow driver on a slippery snow covered road, and has no room even if the road was dry! So does he give up? NO!! He tries anyway, forcing the innocent oncoming motorist to skid sideways into the ditch! And this guy keeps on going as if nothing happened!
This happened in Crete Illinois, on Exchange Avenue just west of the Walts Grocery and Ace hardware stores, on Wednesday evening just after 8 PM.
Now you know!

New book, excellent on the Psychology of how we drive
Tuesday, February 10, 2009
There is a terrific new book called "Traffic", it is really good, about the psychology of how we drive.
The author applauded people who are a part of sites such as this one, in fact that is how I found platwire!
I was made more aware only reading the first two chapters
how important safe driving is, and how stupid people who
take chances with theirs and others innocent lives by aggresive driving, speeding, doing other things, it is a must read.
