This is a cool site! A friend of mine recommended it to me after he found it to be a good outlet for his driving frustration. I now have to teach myself to look at and record the license plates of drivers I'd like to flag. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can do this safely while driving if my memory is not so great? For the record, I do not think that snapping pictures while driving is very smart or safe. So how do you guys get it done?

If you have a smart phone, it should have a voice recorder in it. Makes it easier. If not, the actual recorders aren't very expensive.

Welcome doomtrust! Yes this is a helpful site to vent your driving grievances.

As for great8, you know you keep saying that you are leaving and not coming back, over and over again you make that statement, yet you are still here! That makes you a liar and a hypocrite! I have successfully ignored your pointless existence to this point but the fact that you can't back up what you say requires a response. Of course, being a self-admitted troll, no one ever takes what you have to say seriously. Now go ahead and launch into your typical rants against me, call me names, call me a troll. That's all that you are good for, that's all that you ever do on here to the other legitimate posters, pretty sad really! Now go back to mommy and cry and I will go on ignoring you because you are not worth anything!

Obviously I should have thought of a voice recorder! I'm not so very electronically inclined! So I thank you guys for the suggestion. My phone does indeed have one and it's fairly easy to access! Thanks again!

MadRookiee, it's THEgreat8! I DO NOT give you permission to abridge my name! As for the rest of your tripe-blah,blah...I take what you say to heart very closely, so it really hurts me when you speak bad of me, friend. :( What you say I am defines me to my core, so now I guess I'll just have to....leave PW forever!! Bye-bye! This is for real. Really. Bye. See ya. Adios. Aloha. ...tear.

In the Netherlands, the website www.kwamutegen.nl works pretty much the same as Platewire.com. We use a handy voice recorder to remember license plates of drivers we'd like to flag. It’s called the 'Automemo' (auto is a Dutch word for car). The Automemo is a small voice recorder which you can easily attach on your window screen. By simply pressing the button once, your message will be recorded or played. So you can keep on driving without having to worry about your safety in traffic. See the image on www.automemo.nl.

Maybe Platewire could make these voice recorders available for its users?

     Welcome aboard.

I usually just try and remember... and if I forget before I get to a computer, it's probably not something so bad as it really needs a wire anyway!

That said I'm in the process of permanently mounting my gopro camera between the front seats so it has a continuous view of the road.
